We have an opportunity for someone to join our sales team as TPI Account Manager. We want to give someone the opportunity for growth and development. This is a challenging and diverse role, where an element of admin will be required. We are looking for someone who can enhance our world class service and fit in to a great team. Duties & Responsibilities

Working in partnership with other internal account managers, the candidate will play a crucial role in continuing the rapid growth of YGP by tendering for the gas and electricity supplies of SME and I&C customers. This will be done through working with YGP’s Partners who the candidate will have regular telephone, email and face to face contact with in order to maximise the number of sales. These duties will require strong communication skills and the candidate must be comfortable working to tight schedules in busy periods and enjoy the challenges this can present.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the candidate will be expected to build rapport with YGP’s partners and consultants and therefore, prior industry knowledge would be beneficial in this role. If the candidate lacks prior industry experience, they must show a hunger for continuous training and development and a keen interest in the energy industry. Welcoming and quickly adapting to change in a dynamic business environment is also an essential attribute.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal and team sales targets.
  • Negotiate gas and electricity supply contracts with partners and customers
  • Manage and Develop new and existing TPI partnerships to increase new business. Including managing engagement through telephone and face to face meetings.
  • Managing a renewal portfolio for your partners
  • Proactively develop and improve propositions with our partners.
  • Achieve excellence through delivery of market leading customer service.
  • Supporting back office functions in providing aftersales support and customer care.
  • Production of bespoke sales quotations and tenders for TPI’s and processing of all sales contracts
  • Understand TPI performance – Live rate, consumption, debt, etc.
  • Deliver sales plans and provide information into monthly reporting.
  • To ensure that all contractual paperwork is completed in a timely manner.

  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in an Account Manager or Business Development Manager role;
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is highly advantageous but not essential;
  • Ambitious and driven to achieve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient at communicating up to director level;
  • Excellent and professional telephone manner;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word and Outlook;
  • Excellent problem solver and independent logical thinker;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail to a very high standard;
  • Quick learner that is ready to help question, develop & improve processes.

  • Base salary up to £28,000 dependent upon experience
