Yorkshire Gas And Power
Modern Slavery
Statement
Introduction
We, E E Solutions Limited t/a Yorkshire Gas and Power, are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.
Organisation’s structure
We are a non-domestic gas and electricity supplier, licenced by Ofgem. Our ultimate parent company is E E Solutions Holding Limited, and a subsidiary company Eco Green Management Limited, both of which are incorporated and registered in England/Wales in the United Kingdom. This statement covers all legal entities in our group.
Our supply chains
Our supply chains consist of a number of suppliers, used to facilitate the services we provide.
Our policies on slavery and human trafficking
We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We continuously review and update all our policies.
Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking
We understand that the area that gives rise to the highest modern slavery risks is the utilisation of suppliers outside of the United Kingdom.
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we diligently assess suppliers we are proposing to use.
Supplier adherence to our values
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have examined our own business and, to the extent that is reasonably practicable, businesses within our supply chain and we confirm the following:
We confirm that within our own business, no relevant offence relating to slavery or human trafficking has been committed.
We have made enquiries of businesses that supply directly to us, and we are confident that no relevant offence is committed in that business.
Insofar as it was reasonably practicable, we have examined our supply chains and can confirm that we have found no evidence of slavery or human trafficking.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide regular training to our staff.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st March 2024. It was approved by the board on 27th June 2024.
