PRESS RELEASE 14/11/25
Yorkshire Gas and Power (YGP), a trading name of E E Solutions Limited and a licensed commercial gas and electricity supplier, announces that it now recognises the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman (DRO) for broker dispute resolution — effective immediately.
Since 1 November 2024, the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman has provided Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services for energy brokers and their micro and small business customers. DRO operates as a Qualifying Dispute Settlement Scheme (QDSS), aligned to Ofgem’s requirements for ADR providers. This ensures brokers and customers have access to an independent, impartial, legally-trained service capable of delivering fair, binding outcomes.
“Our broker partners have been asking for this. Recognising the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman alongside existing schemes gives brokers a clear route to compliance – and gives customers confidence in fair, independent outcomes.” – Jacob Bollon, Sales Director, Yorkshire Gas & Power
This recognition reinforces YGP’s commitment to transparency, trust and compliance, while strengthening redress for micro and small business customers.
YGP thanks its partners for their continued support as the company expands its capabilities across the UK energy market.
